Walter and Jack are my two fabulous boys. They are curious, giggily and amazing in every way. Walter is two years and almost three months old. He never stops exploring. He is like a giant sponge, absorbing everything around him all day long. He wants to know everything about everything. He speaks in stream of consciousness. linking one word to another until he remembers the whole experience.
Walter loves hamburgers with ketchup, doughnuts, and noodles. He is allergic to almost everything else. Dairy, Eggs, and peanuts are all off the list!
He doesn't like cookies, however he loves helping me make them. He loves to turn on the Kitchenaid mixer. On December 15th of 2005, we were making sugar cookies for Christmas and I had just put in five cups of flour. At that point Walter decided that it was time to turn the mixer on...at full speed! A giant cloud of flour flew all over the kitchen and completely covered him. He was very upset and just kept screaming...towel! towel! towel!
Walter is all Boy! He loves anything that has to do with trucks or tools. We love to watch the garbage truck come every tuesday and he can tell you if an airplane or helicopter is flying over the house just by the noise. He loves to help Papa fix stuff in his work room and he loves to dig in the dirt. However, he does not like to be dirty. One little bit of anything on his shirt or pants and he needs and entirely new outfit.
Walter loves to dance, especially to daddy's accordion. it won't be long before he is playing one himself. We have quite the little Mozart on our hands. It is crazy, but his poundings on the piano are actually starting to sound melodic.
Walter adores daddy. When daddy comes home from work the first thing Walter will say is "hey, how's it goin?" They have quite the bedtime routine. Bath, untill the water runs out in the tub; dry off and rub his hair while making a car noise; choose Jammies...if the trucks are dirty mommy's in trouble...; have vitamin; brush teeth; and say prayers. It is pretty amazing to see this little guy grow and change so much each day. He is so loving. He gives everyone and everything a hug. Toddlers are amazing!
Jack is six months old and eating everything in sight! He has two teeth and is learning to sit up and crawl. He smiles all day long...Even when he is grouchy. He hates his car seat. He would much rather just curl up with mommy or daddy and giggle. He adores Walter and loves wrestling with him. However, he doesn't like it when Walter bites him. He is such a peaceful creature. I have said this before but Walter is our little CEO, out to conquer the world...And Jack will just be content to garden it. He has a sparkle in his eye and last night I actually caught him "egging Walter on" just by the way he was laughing.
I cannot wait to see what amazing adventures we have. Childhood is the greatest adventure anyone can embark on.
